How to Connect USB stick to Hyper-v

If you are using remote desktop to connect to your hyper-v  and would like to access your USB stick or removable hard drive, follow the steps below

1 Insert removable drive to your computer and wait for few minutes until you see removable disk drive in computer as shown below


Open Remote Desktop by going to start/all programs/Accessories/Remote Desktop Connection


3. Remote Desktop dialog box will appear. Connect to your machine by entering the machine nameand the username on the general tab. After you done this, click on Local Resources tab as shown below


4. Click the more button. Another dialog box will appear.


5. Expand Drives and select the USB removable drive as shown below


6. Click OK and in the general tab click connect. Once you are connected to your remote machine. Go to computer and you will see your removable drive.
